What does Shogun Digital Agency actually do?
We're a full-service digital agency that helps service-based and local businesses grow online. That covers everything from website design and development to branding, SEO, paid advertising, content writing, and social media management. Most of our clients come to us because they need a reliable partner to handle their entire digital presence — so they can focus on running their business while we focus on growing it.
Who do you typically work with?
Our sweet spot is service-based and local businesses — contractors, pest control companies, construction businesses, health and wellness providers, and similar businesses that rely on their local or regional reputation to attract clients. That said, we've worked across a wide range of industries and markets, and our process adapts to each one.
How is Shogun Digital different from other agencies?
A few things set us apart. We handle everything in-house — strategy, design, development, content, and marketing — so nothing gets fragmented between vendors. We build every project on a clear strategic foundation rather than jumping straight to design. And we treat every client as a long-term partner, not a one-time transaction. Our track record of 500+ websites and 1,000+ clients served speaks to what that approach delivers over time.
How do I get started?
The first step is simply reaching out. Book a discovery call or fill out our contact form and we'll get back to you within one business day. From there we'll have a straightforward conversation about your business, your goals, and what it would take to get your digital presence where it needs to be.
FAQ
Website Design & Development
How long does it take to build a website?
Most website projects are completed within three to eight weeks, depending on the scope and complexity. A straightforward five-page website moves faster than a large multi-service site with custom functionality. During our discovery call we'll give you a realistic timeline based on your specific project before anything is agreed upon.
What platforms do you build on?
We primarily build on Webflow, but also other platforms like Squarespace and Wordpress — choosing the right platform based on your business needs, goals, and how you plan to manage the site after launch. We'll always recommend the platform that makes the most sense for your situation rather than defaulting to one for every project.
Will my website work on mobile devices?
Every website we build is fully mobile-responsive as standard. With the majority of web traffic now coming from mobile devices, this isn't optional — it's a baseline requirement for any website we put our name on.
Will I be able to manage the website myself after launch?
Yes. We build on platforms that are designed to be manageable without technical knowledge, and we provide guidance after launch so you feel confident making basic updates yourself. If you'd prefer to leave ongoing updates and maintenance to us, we offer support packages for that as well.
How much does a website cost?
Website pricing varies depending on the scope, complexity, and services involved. Our projects can span from $5,000 to $25,000 or above, depending on the required services and budget. Rather than offering fixed packages that may not fit your specific situation, we put together a custom quote based on what your business actually needs. What we can tell you is that we're transparent about pricing from the start, and we'll never recommend services you don't need. Reach out and we'll put together a proposal that makes sense for your goals and your budget.
FAQ
Branding & Logo Design
What's included in a branding package?
Our full branding packages cover everything you need to show up consistently and professionally across every touchpoint — logo concepts and refinements, a brand identity document, color palette, typography system, business card design, letterhead, and email signature. We can also scale the package up or down depending on what your business specifically needs.
Do I need a full branding package or just a logo?
That depends on where you are in your business. If you're just starting out and need something to get moving, a logo is a reasonable starting point. But if you're building or rebuilding a complete digital presence, investing in a full brand identity from the start pays dividends — it ensures everything looks and feels cohesive from day one rather than being pieced together over time.
How many logo concepts will I receive?
We typically present several distinct logo concepts during the initial presentation, giving you a range of creative directions to respond to. From there we refine the chosen direction based on your feedback until we land on something you're completely happy with.
What if I already have a logo but want to refresh my brand?
We can work with your existing logo as a starting point and build a cohesive brand identity around it, or recommend a refresh if we feel the logo itself is holding the brand back. We'll always give you an honest assessment before recommending anything.
Will my branding work across print and digital?
Yes. Everything we design is built to work seamlessly across both digital and print applications — your website, social media profiles, business cards, letterhead, signage, and anything else your brand needs to show up on.
FAQ
SEO & Local SEO
How long does it take to see results from SEO?
SEO is a long-term investment, and anyone promising overnight results isn't being straight with you. Most businesses start seeing meaningful movement in their rankings within three to six months, with results compounding significantly over time. Local SEO campaigns can produce faster results in some cases — we've had clients reach top 1–5 positions in their market in under three months when the right foundation is in place.
What's the difference between SEO and local SEO?
Standard SEO focuses on improving your visibility in broader search results, while local SEO is specifically designed to help your business show up when people in your area are searching for your services. For most service-based and local businesses, local SEO is the higher priority — getting into the Google Map Pack and ranking for location-specific keywords is where the most valuable leads come from.
Do you guarantee first page rankings?
No — and you should be cautious of any agency that does. Google's algorithm is complex and constantly evolving, and no agency can guarantee specific ranking positions. What we can guarantee is a proven strategy, transparent reporting, and a consistent track record of delivering strong ranking results for our clients across competitive markets.
What is a Google Business Profile and why does it matter?
Your Google Business Profile is what appears when someone searches for your business or finds you on Google Maps. It's one of the most important factors in local search visibility — an optimized profile dramatically increases your chances of appearing in the Google Map Pack, which captures a large share of local search clicks. We optimize and manage Google Business Profiles as part of every local SEO campaign.
Do I need ongoing SEO or is it a one-time thing?
SEO is most effective as an ongoing investment. While a one-time optimization improves your foundation, search rankings are competitive — your competitors are continuously working on theirs. Ongoing SEO management ensures your rankings continue to improve over time rather than stagnating or slipping. We offer both project-based SEO campaigns and ongoing monthly management depending on your goals and budget.
FAQ
Paid Ads
How much budget do I need for paid advertising?
There's no universal answer — the right budget depends on your market, your goals, and the competitiveness of your industry. During our discovery process we'll give you a realistic picture of what's needed to run effective campaigns in your specific space. What we can tell you is that a smaller budget managed with precision will always outperform a larger budget spent without strategy.
What's the difference between Google Ads and Meta Ads?
Google Ads target people who are actively searching for your services — they have high intent and are often ready to buy. Meta Ads on Facebook and Instagram target people based on demographics and interests — they may not be actively searching right now, but they match the profile of your ideal client. Both have their place, and the right mix depends on your business goals. We'll help you figure out which platform — or combination of both — makes the most sense for your situation.
How quickly can I expect to see results from paid ads?
Paid advertising can generate results faster than almost any other digital marketing channel — sometimes within days of launching a campaign. That said, the first few weeks are often an optimization period where we gather data and refine targeting to improve performance. Results typically strengthen significantly after the initial learning phase.
Do you create the ad creatives or do I need to provide them?
We handle ad copy and creative direction as part of our paid ads service. For campaigns that require photography or video assets, we'll work with what you have or advise you on what would perform best. We'll always be upfront about what we need from you before a campaign launches.
How do you measure the success of an ad campaign?
We track the metrics that actually matter for your business — leads generated, cost per lead, click-through rates, and return on ad spend. We provide clear monthly reporting so you always know exactly how your campaigns are performing and where your budget is going.
FAQ
Content Writing
Do you write all the content or do I need to provide it?
We handle all the writing. Our process starts with a brief intake to understand your business, your services, your tone, and your target clients — and from there we take care of everything. You review the drafts, provide feedback, and we refine until the content feels exactly right. Most clients are surprised by how little time it takes on their end.
How do you make sure the content sounds like my business?
Every piece of content we write starts with understanding your brand voice — how you talk to clients, what you want to be known for, and what sets you apart. We use that as our foundation so the final content feels authentic to your business rather than generic. The review process gives you the opportunity to shape the tone further until it's exactly right.
Is the content optimized for SEO?
Yes — always. Every piece of content we write is built around targeted keyword research, ensuring it's optimized for the specific terms your ideal clients are searching for. SEO and quality writing aren't mutually exclusive — we do both at the same time so your content ranks well and reads well.
Can you write blog content as well as website copy?
Absolutely. Beyond website copy and service pages, we write blog articles, case studies, and other long-form content designed to build your authority in your industry and attract organic traffic over time. A consistent blog strategy is one of the most effective long-term SEO tools available for service-based businesses.
What if I already have content but it needs to be improved?
We can work with existing content and rewrite, improve, or optimize it — whether that means strengthening the copy, improving the SEO, or both. We'll assess what you have and give you an honest recommendation on what needs the most attention.
FAQ
Social Media Management
What social media platforms do you manage?
We work across all major platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. The platforms we recommend for your business depend on where your ideal clients are most active — a local contractor gets very different results on LinkedIn versus Instagram compared to a personal trainer or a restaurant. We'll always recommend the platforms that make the most strategic sense for your specific audience rather than spreading effort thin across every channel.
How often will you post on my behalf?
Posting frequency is built around your specific strategy and goals. Consistency matters more than volume — a well-planned three posts per week will outperform daily posts without strategy every time. During our onboarding process we'll establish a schedule that keeps your brand active and visible without sacrificing content quality.
Will I have a say in what gets posted?
Absolutely. We operate on an approval process — content is created and submitted to you for review before anything goes live. You stay in full control of what represents your brand online, and we refine based on your feedback until the content feels right. Over time, as we get to know your brand better, the approval process typically becomes much quicker.
Do you respond to comments and messages as well?
Community management — responding to comments, questions, and messages — can be included as part of your social media package depending on the level of support you need. For businesses that receive a high volume of engagement or inquiries through social media, having that handled professionally can make a significant difference in how your brand is perceived online. It is not included as part of our standard service, so we should always discuss this in advance.
How does social media actually help my business grow?
Social media builds the kind of trust and familiarity that converts browsers into buyers over time. Most potential clients won't reach out the first time they encounter your business — but a consistent, professional social media presence keeps you visible and top of mind until they're ready. It also reinforces credibility at every other stage of the decision-making process — when someone finds you on Google and then checks your Instagram, what they see either strengthens or weakens their confidence in your business. Done right, social media is one of the most powerful trust-building tools available for local and service-based businesses.
